Jackson County Fair and Homecoming Events
Held annually the week before the weekend of Labor Day. These events offer real, small-town activities like livestock and horse shows, car shows, garden events, canning events, craft exhibits, musical entertainment, dancing, clogging, beauty pageants, and a parade. String
Bean Memorial Music Park
June 1996 Porter Wagoner, Grandpa & Ramona Jones, Mac Wiseman and a host of other entertainers and friends of David "Stringbean" Akemon gathered to unveil a larger then life statue of Stringbean and established a memorial in his honor.
4 events are hosed each year.

- Fall Mountain Music Festival
Old Fashioned Festival
These festivals are sponsored by the elementary schools in Jackson County. These
festivals educate students about Jackson County heritage, culture, and
traditions such as cooking, dancing, crafts and Appalachian Mountain Music.
Festivals are usually held in November. Call Tyner Family Resource Center at

Youth Festival Rally
This youth festival is a Christian event that features gospel bands, speakers, revival, and sporting events. This festival provides teenagers the opportunity to interact with others through Christian based events.
This event is held in Sandgap.
Jackson County Arts and Crafts Guild Show
This festival, held in conjunction with the Jackson County Homecoming and Fair, features local craftsmen in Jackson County, such as quilters, weavers, and other artisans. The festival is held annually on Labor Day weekend.

Bethel Church Homecoming
Held annually the 3rd Sunday in September, this homecoming is in Northern Jackson County. People come from miles around to enjoy good food music and chatting. For additional information, call 606-878-7664.
Model T Ford Club of America
In 2000 the Model T Ford Club of America held a car show in Jackson
County. Over 300 people from 28 states were in attendance. For more
